I’ve been married to my wonderful husband since 2011 but we have been together since 2003! My husband and I actually went to the same high school but we did not know each other. I’ve often wondered if I ever had the chance, I would have wanted to see all the moments we passed each other in the hallway. Weird how things work out!
We have three wonderful children: Johnathan, Brayden, and Raylen. My husband is an entrepreneur and has his hands in everything, from his own travel agency (which I help him run), a fitness gym, a regular full-time job as well as a ton of investment business he is a part of. We love to travel which goes hand in hand with experiencing new cuisines.
After high school, I really didn’t have an idea what direction I wanted to take my career. I have been very lucky to have great friends in my life that have helped propel me into the radio/entertainment industry. I’ve worked for great companies like Clear Channel Radio, Cox Radio, Univision Radio, ThinkLatino! and H&M Communications. Promotions & Marketing was definitely my niche… but cooking has always been my passion!
I have loved food for as long as I can remember eating. My parents taught me at a very young age to experience all different types of cultures foods. I think those experiences are what cultivated my desire to be a chef. I attended the Art Institute of Houston to study culinary arts but I was not able to finish. I do plan on going back very soon in hopes to finally get my degree, which is a huge accomplishment!
With this blog, I hope to document my journey trying to attain my culinary degree as well as travel with me while I try new foods/dishes. Everyone experiences food differently so please feel free to comment on my post so I can try to see food through your eyes.
I hope MY blog will inspire you to experiment with food, as I strive to every single day!
