SUPERBOWL SUNDAY – Healthy Turkey Chili


Still haven’t figured out what to make for Superbowl Sunday?!?  Make this easy healthy chili recipe today and serve it tomorrow for your friends and family. This is sooooo much better the next day!!!


Servings: 8


  • 6 Poblano Chilis (roasted/charred/chopped)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt / Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Onion (chopped)
  • 6 Garlic Cloves (chopped)
  • 2 Pkg Ground Turkey – Extra Lean (1.25 lb)
  • 1 Box Chicken Broth (32 oz)
  • 2 T Ground Cumin
  • 1 T Ground Coriander
  • 1 Can Corn
  • 2 Cans White Cannelini Beans
  • 2 T Masa
  • 2 T Lemon Juice
  • 1 T Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Modelo Especial or Imported Mexican Beer


  1. Preheat the oven to broil (high) and place rack in the middle. Place poblano chilis on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle a little salt/pepper over them. Make sure they are coated on both sides. Place them in the oven for 10 min. Once they have charred and skin is blistered, flip them over and broil for another 10 min. Every oven is different so keep an eye on them so they do not burn. Once they are done, put them in a bowl and place plastic wrap over them. Let them steam for 10 min; this will help the skin come off easier.
